Who’s That Type 1?
A youth-led Type 1 diabetes awareness initiative, created to change the way people see the condition.
We move beyond numbers, devices and assumptions to focus on the people and lived experiences behind Type 1 diabetes. Alongside our awareness work, we are fundraising to support research towards a cure for Type 1 diabetes. Who’s That Type 1? is an independent non-profit company registered in Greece.
Why I started Who’s That Type 1?
I’m Myrto Stergiou. I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in October 2019, when I was seven years old.
I started Who’s That Type 1? because I wanted people to understand the person and the daily life behind the condition, not only what they can see. My motivation is to make sure no one with Type 1 diabetes ever feels alone.
